The fifth issue of the MASTER newsletter is ready! It is undoubted that the COVID-19 pandemic affected the lives of all of us and the MASTER activities in particular. Nevertheless, the research and dissemination activities related to the project are continuing as much as possible in remote mode. This issue of the newsletter does not report any secondment but we focus on the projects we are hosting - this month EV-CHIP - and published MASTER papers, as well as events where we have been involved. MASTER participated into the ESOF Euro Forum, in the panel "Network user security and privacy solutions in the era of artificial intelligence and GDPR" jojnt with other RISE projects: SECONDO, INCOGNITO, BeHAPI.The panel was held as a virtual room on Thursday September 3rd at 18.With other panelists we discussed the issues on  the security and privacy of citizens and how the technology developed by these projects can have an impact in the society.The ESOF 2020 hybrid edition had more than 2500 participants registered for the event, and among them, more than 1000 present in person as well as 1400 connected remotely every day. The MASTER consortium  - supported by the precious contribution of Beatrice Rapisarda (CNR) - won the support for the results dissemination from the Horizon Results Booster of the European Commission! The Booster will help the Consortium in creating a portfolio of project results to disseminate.  The MASTER project will participate in the Euro Science Open Forum event, from 2 to 6 September 2020. The EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) is a biennial, pan-European, general science conference dedicated to scientific research and innovation. Chiara Renso (CNR) presented the paper to an audience of about 35 attendees. MASTER partners, as an activity not directly related to the project but interesting to mention due to the links with the project topics,  are actively participating and giving contributions to the COVID19 pandemic that is affecting the whole globe.Prof. Vania Bogorny and Luis Otavio Alvares from Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil) are collaborating with an Italian company in developing a tracing app for the COVID. The app is called "Covid Community Alert", a worldwide open-source standard proposed by a global community to provide a service that allows the monitoring of interactions among devices in a totally anonymous way.
