MASTER participated into the ESOF Euro Forum, in the panel "Network user security and privacy solutions in the era of artificial intelligence and GDPR" jojnt with other RISE projects: SECONDO, INCOGNITO, BeHAPI.The panel was held as a virtual room on Thursday September 3rd at 18.With other panelists we discussed the issues on  the security and privacy of citizens and how the technology developed by these projects can have an impact in the society.The ESOF 2020 hybrid edition had more than 2500 participants registered for the event, and among them, more than 1000 present in person as well as 1400 connected remotely every day. MASTER supports the Second International Workshop on Big Mobility Data Analytics (BMDA'19). The event will  be on March 26, 2019 in Lisbon in conjunction with ECML-PKDD conference. Deadline for submitting papers is December 15, 2018! BMDA19 and MASTER has also been disseminated by Nikos Pelekis from UPRC during the  internal meeting of the Track And Know H2020 project held in London, the 11 and 12 October 2018.

MASTER Newsletter Issue N. 1, September 2018.  In this first issue we introduce the project, the consortium and report about our kick off event held the last March 2018. We are very happy and proud that our Independent Ethical Advisor Prof. Bettina Berendt accepted our invitation to prepare a very stimulating article expressing her vision about the need of ethical considerations in data science for holistic trajectories. Prof. Berendt shares her thoughts on two case studies: the well known New York taxi dataset and the controversial topic of the analysis of AIS traces for the detection of search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean Sea, linked to the migration phenomena.
