Joint work from University of Venice Ca’ Foscari in Venice and Dalhousie University in Halifax has just been published by Geoinformtica Journal.
The paper has title “From multiple aspect trajectories to predictive analysis: a case study on fishing vessels in the Northern Adriatic sea” and presents an approach to modelling, storage and analysis of multiple aspects trajectories in the maritime domain.
Specifically the work focuses on the prediction of Catch per Unit Effort.
This works integrates fishing ships trajectories derived from AIS data, environmental data and catch data for spatio-temporal prediction of CPUE – a challenging task. Paper is publised as Open Acces and available at URL
